First-round performance from the 2010 U.S. Air Guitar National Championships in New York City! Enjoy. Slayer’s “Angel of Death” served me well but it is now officially retired.

It was a tight competition, with first round ties for fourth and fifth sending a total of eight performers into the second round, including Mean Melin.

Not Quite 20 Questions with Eric "Mean" Melin

Portland, OR-based online magazine Circle Into Square interviewed me about the upcoming US Air Guitar Nationals in NY and general rockness—check it out!

Chicago, The Metro, 4.15.2010. My very first performance of “Hot for Teacher,” a song I would later abandon in favor of Slayer. This features a little “funny” bit with a bikini-clad transvestite teacher and my experiment with long-sleeved fringe, also abandoned.

This video may be more notable for my second round of Bon Jovi, where I got 5.9., 5.9, and 6.0!

Congratulations to my brothers-in-air Airpocalypse, who made it to the second round on America’s Got Talent tonight!
